This class gives students that are enrolled in the Western Sydney University Bachelor of Medicine/Bachelor of Surgery (MBBS) the possibility to take leave of absence from the typical medical course for 1-2 months full time or two years part time, even after successfully completing years 1 and 2 MBBS, in order to obtain a more detailed knowledge in clinical research than is provided in the typical medical span. Years 1 and 2 of the Bachelor of Medical Research are equivalent to years 1 and 2 MBBS. It's expected that students will return to the health course on completion of the intercalated year, and this will complete the requirements of the Bachelor of Medical Research, however the level is also available as an exit point for people that don't wish to restart MBBS.
Successful completion of Years 1 and 2 of the Bachelor of Medicine/Bachelor of Surgery degree
