The Master's in Migration, Ethnic Relations and Multiculturalism allows you to develop the knowledge, attitude and skills needed to evaluate and conduct premiere research in this important field.
This programme is linked to the European Research Centre on Migration and Ethnic Relations (ERCOMER). It is one of the oldest Research Master's programme at Utrecht University and was evaluated as one of the top three research masters in the Netherlands by the Accreditation Organisation of the Netherlands and Flanders in 2009. The MERM programme focuses on the analysis of different phases and aspects of migration flows, the (social, political and psychological) integration of immigrants and ethnic minorities in different societies, and the positive (tolerance, multiculturalism) and negative (discrimination and racism) responses of host societies.
