The programme is designed for students who have an interest in human biology and biomedical issues and who wish to develop technical laboratory skills related to modern cell and molecular biology. The programme is a continuation of the education for students with completed bachelor degrees in biomedicine, or who have a similar educational background from a university or other institution of higher education, and want careers in research and development, management or course activities.
Obtaining a Master of Biomedicine will qualify graduates to work in research and development within the biomedical sciences, as well other areas of clinical laboratory sciences. It will also provide career options related to the translation of knowledge and methods of medical subjects and bioprospecting. The programme also has an important function in training candidates qualified for PhD degrees. The programme will shed light on contemporary problems and methods in biomedicine. Candidates will also be trained in experimental work as well as written and oral presentations of independent scientific papers. By implementing the programme courses in English, the Faculty of Health Sciences also offer this programme as an international Master of Science in molecular medicine.
