The ANU School of Music's Master of Music (higher level ) is designed to nurture outstanding musical artistry by offering a diversity of musical adventures in an environment that promotes excellence, entrepreneurship and passion. We feel that discovery lies in the middle of the creativity and self expression. Registering for a Master of Music (advanced level ) gives you the opportunity to explore the concepts and contexts of music directed by world class academic staff delivering lectures, tutorials, one-to-one grad, ensembles, master classes, technical assignments and musical activities in the community. Your learning adventures aren't only confined to the classroom or recital hall: you also have the opportunity to utilize our million dollar recording studio outfitted with the most advanced array of microphones, documenting hardware and software as well as the mythical 48 station Neve Genesys console that's at the core of the studio. Internships are available with an array of professional operation companies, recording studios, production houses, and community arts companies. The Master of Music (advanced level ) offers two streams to match your passions: Music Performance and Music Composition.
A Bachelor degree or international equivalent with minimum GPA of both 6/7 and the approval of an identified manager for its research project/thesis and EITHER with a prosperous assessment of a portfolio of works (composition) OR with a successful audition (performance). All candidates should meet the University's English Language Admission Requirements.
