Music, Pathway Music Design

Music is not just about playing instruments and composing. Often, music has to be designed, which means that account must be taken of the suitable design and production processes and the context for which the music is created and performed. Other important factors are the application of technology, multidisciplinary collaboration and research. Alongside the quality of performance, composition and interpretation, all these factors influence the final musical product, and should therefore be determined by a musician. This vision and approach is what distinguishes the Music Design pathway.

Admission requirements

Candidates will be invited to attend an entry interview precedeed by an introduction meeting.

2. ingangstoets Following your application, you need to send us your portfolio of your work, first version of your MMus Plan (see below), letter of motivation and results of your Toefl- of Ielts-test.
3. vooropleiding (ISPAC: vereiste vooropleiding) * Candidates are required to possess a BMus with Honours (or its equivalent national diploma) and to have relevant project and teamwork experience. * Or to possess a master degree (or its equivalent national diploma) in composition, sound design, music production or music technology and to have relevant project and teamwork experience.
4. werkervaring (ISPAC: vereiste werkervaring) In exceptional circumstances, candidates may be admitted who lack formal academic qualifications but who can demonstrate an equivalent level of intellectual and creative achievement gained in the course of a professional career.
