This program provides Registered Nurses with the theoretical understanding and critical thinking skills to prepare them for advanced practice in the clinical setting. Students will be able to align their livelihood goals with one of several professional pathways. Specialisations available comprise clinical direction, clinical instruction, aged care, primary health care or clinical tests. Opportunities will be offered for students in their final sessions of study into synthesise and apply advanced nursing concepts through a capstone experience or research job related to their professional objectives.
As the NSW Nurses' Registration Board and the NSW Nurses' Association urge physicians to pursue appropriate postgraduate educational opportunities, professional accreditation or enrollment of nurses with this particular award is not mandatory.
- Rn (currently enrolled with the Australian physician Regulation Agency - Nursing and Midwifery), or qualification for same
- Or certificate of registration of nursing, within the previous 5 years, within their very own country and undergraduate degree in health-related sciences (AQF Level 7 or equivalent), in health science, human mathematics, midwifery, naturopathy, nursing, and nutrition, psychology.
