Requirements for Oboe Programme at Giuseppe Tartini State Conservatory of Trieste

In order to be accepted into the Oboe Programme, you must meet the following requirements:

• You must have completed at least two years of music studies at a recognized music school.
• You must have a good knowledge of music theory and solfeggio.
• You must have a good knowledge of the oboe and its repertoire.
• You must have a good knowledge of the Italian language.
• You must have a good knowledge of the history of music.
• You must have a good knowledge of the musical styles of the Baroque, Classical, and Romantic periods.
• You must have a good knowledge of the techniques of orchestral playing.
• You must have a good knowledge of the techniques of chamber music playing.
• You must have a good knowledge of the techniques of solo playing.
• You must have a good knowledge of the techniques of improvisation.
