Welcome to the Oboe Programme at Claudio Monteverdi Conservatory

The Oboe Programme at Claudio Monteverdi Conservatory offers a comprehensive and rigorous education in the art of oboe performance. Our faculty of experienced oboists and teachers will guide you through the fundamentals of oboe playing, from basic technique to advanced performance. You will learn the fundamentals of music theory, sight-reading, and improvisation, as well as the history and literature of the oboe. You will also have the opportunity to participate in masterclasses, recitals, and chamber music ensembles.

Our curriculum is designed to help you develop your skills as an oboist and to prepare you for a successful career in music. We offer a variety of courses, including private lessons, group classes, and ensemble rehearsals. Our faculty will work with you to develop your individual strengths and weaknesses, and to help you reach your goals as an oboist.

In order to be accepted into the programme, applicants must demonstrate a high level of proficiency on the oboe. This includes a strong technical foundation, a good sense of musicality, and the ability to sight-read music. Additionally, applicants must have a minimum of two years of private oboe instruction and/or ensemble experience.
