Requirements for the Organ Programme at Claudio Monteverdi Conservatory

The Organ Programme at Claudio Monteverdi Conservatory is designed to provide students with the skills and knowledge necessary to become a professional organist. To be accepted into the programme, applicants must meet the following requirements:

• A minimum of Grade 8 in Organ Performance or equivalent.
• A minimum of Grade 5 in Music Theory or equivalent.
• A minimum of Grade 5 in Music History or equivalent.
• A minimum of Grade 5 in Aural Training or equivalent.
• A minimum of Grade 5 in Sight-Reading or equivalent.
• A minimum of Grade 5 in Keyboard Harmony or equivalent.
• A minimum of Grade 5 in Improvisation or equivalent.

In addition to the above requirements, applicants must also demonstrate a commitment to the study of the organ and its repertoire. Applicants must also be able to demonstrate a high level of musicianship and technical proficiency.
