In order to be accepted into the programme, applicants must demonstrate a strong commitment to the study of percussion instruments. This includes a minimum of two years of private instruction on a percussion instrument, as well as a solid understanding of music theory and notation. Additionally, applicants must demonstrate a high level of proficiency on at least one percussion instrument.
