Requirements for Percussion Instruments Programme at Institute of Music Studies of P.I. Tchaikovsky

The Institute of Music Studies of P.I. Tchaikovsky offers a comprehensive Percussion Instruments Programme for prospective students. This programme is designed to provide students with the skills and knowledge necessary to become successful percussionists.

In order to be accepted into the programme, prospective students must demonstrate a strong interest in percussion instruments and have a basic understanding of music theory. Additionally, applicants must have a minimum of two years of experience playing percussion instruments, either in a school or private setting.

Applicants must also demonstrate a commitment to the study of percussion instruments by providing a portfolio of their work. This portfolio should include recordings of performances, compositions, and/or improvisations. Additionally, applicants must submit a letter of recommendation from a teacher or mentor.

Upon acceptance into the programme, students will be required to complete a series of courses in percussion instruments, music theory, and performance.
