The Australian School of Petroleum is now Australia's distinguished center of excellence for petroleum geoscience and engineering research, education and training. The school has strong connections with industry in relation to both research and teaching. This amount is composed of a thorough coursework plan and research training. The program increases student knowledge in the critical areas of oil geoscience and trains students to successfully use industry-standard methods and software. Students get a comprehensive grounding in the fundamentals of exploration and development geoscience, while being subjected to the practical features of the oil and gas industry through globally seasoned staff.
A completed undergraduate Honours degree in Science (AQF Level 8, or equivalent), majoring in a relevant field (such as geology, geophysics, soil sciences or similar) having an Honours level IIA grade or charge moderate grade, or even higher. Students using a non-Honours undergraduate diploma in Science (AQF Grade 7, or equivalent) can be considered whether they have undertaken a Minumum of One degree of professional expertise in a related field, supplying proper work based learning results that blended with their undergraduate level is evaluated to be equivalent to a Honours (AQF level 8) eligibility
