This program features core subject matter such as environmental science, geography of society, environmental law and policy, economics, societal and community planning, ecological impact assessment, regional planning and urban and ecological design. Students choose elective subjects to reflect their interests and career plans. The University's location, alongside the World Heritage listed Wet Tropics rainforest, Great Barrier Reef and 2 of Queensland's fastest developing cities, provides a living laboratory for the analysis of the surrounding and economical development.
