This course gives you the skills and expertise necessary to excel in the professional area of accounting. Graduates of this course will have a thorough base in the conventional areas underpinning the accounting profession. Through the entire course, you are going to become adept in integrating higher level level theoretical and technical accounting and related understanding. This includes auditing and assurance, bookkeeping, economics, quantitative procedures, information systems, taxation law, and corporations and business law.
Holmesglen's Master of Professional Accounting is Licensed by industry professional bodies, including Certified Practising Accountants (CPA) Australia, Chartered Accountants Australia and Also New Zealand, Institute of Certified Management Accountants (ICMA) and the Institute of Public Accountants (IPA).
Your full academic record will be considered. Applications will be evaluated on a case by case basis. You have to demonstrate your preparedness, aptitude and capability to manage formal post graduate study at this qualification level. Students that have previously undertaken a degree with a specialisation in Accounting will not qualify for the Master of Professional Accounting, or the nested Graduate degree in Accounting. You'll be required to attend a scheduled appointment and bring a current resume detailing work history as well as certified copies of relevant qualifications. Selection will depend on previous study, work experience and motivation to examine.
