The Kyoto University Graduate School of Management was selected for the Ministry of Education, Culture, Sports, Science and Technology’s “Global 30 Program”, and will offer a new Master’s program in international project management to be be fully instructed in the English language starting in April 2011. This new international project management course offers an educational curriculum with the aim of nurturing highly advanced professionals who will take active part in the fields of large-scale international project management, international contract management and international contract conflict resolution. Utilizing Kyoto University’s unique and leading world class research resources, this program will become a stronghold for internationalization in higher education and will help create leaders of the next generation who will take on the challenges of society’s modern day problems.
The Graduate School of Management currently offers five programs, the “Project Operations Management Program”, “Business Creation and Revitalization Program”, “Financial Risk Management Program”, “Finance and Accounting Program,” and the "Service Value Creation Program". The new international project management course is associated with the Project Operations Management Program.
The International Project Management Course is a two year (four semester) program. Students will mainly take basic and specialized subjects in their first year, and practical business and advanced subjects in their second year.
