y studying here, you will achieve an in-depth academic understanding of issues in comparative policy and governance and organizational studies. You will graduate prepared to conduct leading-edge research and take on leadership roles in government, universities and other public institutions.
Through this program, you will:
- work with experienced faculty members at the forefront of a wide variety of fields, including public policy analysis, governance and management;
- participate in research projects through the School; and
- build externally-funded research programs of your own.

Requirements
- A master's degree in a related discipline with a minimum grade point average of A- (80-84) in the last two years (30 units) of academic work; and
- Demonstrated research potential.

- Assessment reports are required from a minimum of two referees. If you have graduated within the last five years two academic references are required. If it has been more than five years since you last attended a post-secondary institution, we recommend that you include the email addresses from three current or former employers or professional references who are familiar with your work in place of academic referees. The names and email addresses of your chosen assessors are required when you submit your application. To strengthen your application, we recommend that your referees attach a Letter of Reference in addition to the Assessment Report.

- Submit a Statement of Intent of Proposed Dissertation. This document, up to five single-spaced pages in length, should include:
- a proposed area for dissertation research illustrating the problem to be studied, possible literature, and the general approach; and
- the names of faculty identified as possible research supervisors, and a list of applications submitted for external funding.
- Submit official results for the Graduate Management Admissions Test (GMAT).
- The minimum TOEFL is 610/255/102.
