This class provides a chance to cultivate research in preparation and offers a stepping stone towards PhD research in the preparation area. Work with a manager to develop a study topic in an area where students would like to advance knowledge in their field, or give attention to a particular planning issue. The training program is intended for students of academic undergraduate regional and urban planning courses and may also be of interest to experienced practitioners who face a specific planning issue in their lifetime and try to research the matter in depth. Possible research areas include coastal management, water allocation and planning, urban design and planning problems, dispute resolution in preparation, oreven, a topic of interest to existing academic team.

Applicants are typically required to carry either (a) that a Planning Institute of Australia (or other expert preparation accreditation body affiliated with the World Planning Schools Association) accredited graduate degree in preparation or (b) that an honours undergraduate degree in a planning-related area and appropriate preparation experience to the gratification of this Program Leader. English language requirements also apply.
