Psychology and promotion work handinhand, as modern day business demands a very clear understanding of consumers' wants and needs. Possessing a psychology background whilst working in promotion, or vice-versa, will provide an even more educational knowledge base to cope with the day-to-day challenges of the business world. In this double level you will see key concepts and concepts in psychology and promotion and then employ them to real-world conditions. You will build up an enhanced understanding of your anatomy and behavior and acquire analytical methods to look at culture, personality and lifestyle affect the behavior of consumers.

Candidates are eligible to apply for Registration of the Australian Marketing Institute. The BSc (Psychology) is recognised by the Australian Psychology Accreditation Council (APAC) as meeting the initial few decades of study in psychology. A fourth year in psychology is imperative to make an application for associate membership of the Australian Psychological Society (APS) and for provisional registration as a psychologist. Back in Australia two years supervised psychological practice after fourth year, or conclusion of a two-year masters program or a oneyear professional masters and one year of supervised psychological training, is necessary for full registration as a psychologist.
