Course Content

The degree without Honours can be completed over 2 years and the Honours degree over 3 years. Graduates on the Scots Law course will take all the subjects necessary for professional accreditation with the Law society of Scotland.

Their curriculum will be a modified version of the standard one outlined below: Scots Law of Contract, Scots Law of Delict, Scots Criminal Law, Legal Methods and Systems, Law and Society and Constitutional Law in Level 1 (first year).

In Level 2 students study EC Law, Family Law, Mercantile Law, Scottish Property Law, Evidence, Revenue and Administrative Law.

Level 3 allows the students to choose 4 subjects from a wide range offered by the School.

In level 4 students choose 3 subjects from the range and also complete a dissertation.

Requirements

Graduate entry accelerated degrees:

Graduates with an appropriate first degree (2.1 Honours degree or Ordinary degree with 60% or higher in all level 3 modules) can have their period of study reduced to two years.
