Tourism and Destination Management

The course offers a qualification which will equip graduates for managerial, policy development and planning jobs within the fast growing tourism and events businesses. The course comprises tourism and management studies with a focus on addressing contemporary challenges and issues faced by destinations internationally. Embedded within an established package of industry programs, for example Victoria University's internationally awarded MBA, the Master of Tourism and Destination Management prepares graduates to professionally engage with contemporary and emerging industry issues and improvements from visitors marketplace. In particular, the course builds on the subject of'Green Growth' and sustainability being a fundamental paradigm. The course is developed and conducted with the close involvement of industry leaders, both local and international, and students will have the opportunity to acquire a close insight into industry surgeries , develop professional networks and employ knowledge within the tourism and events businesses.
