This app is intended to prepare graduates for a wide range of functions in tourism, recreation and leisure in private and public businesses, professional associations and community organisations. The method develops knowledge and skills to allow graduates to plan, manage and operate recreation and tourism related policy, activities and business, and accomplish this with a strong ethical grasp of the demand for a double bottom line doctrine, that is, that ecological, societal, cultural and economic costs need to be minimised and benefits maximised. This amount provides students with access to a wide range of disciplinary expertise. It also equips students with a wide array of transferable skills applicable to almost any industry.
