Welcome to the Tuba Programme at the Institute of Music Studies of P.I. Tchaikovsky

The Tuba Programme at the Institute of Music Studies of P.I. Tchaikovsky is designed to provide students with the highest level of musical education. Our curriculum is designed to develop the skills and knowledge necessary to become a successful tuba player. We offer a comprehensive range of courses, from beginner to advanced levels, to help you reach your goals.

Our courses cover a wide range of topics, including technique, repertoire, improvisation, and music theory. We also offer masterclasses and workshops to help you hone your skills and gain a deeper understanding of the instrument. Our faculty is comprised of some of the most renowned tuba players in the world, and they are dedicated to helping you reach your full potential.

We also offer a variety of performance opportunities, including solo recitals, chamber music, and orchestral performances. Our students have the opportunity to perform in some of the most prestigious venues in the world, including the Moscow Conservatory and the Mariinsky Theatre.

Requirements for the Tuba Programme at the Institute of Music Studies of P.I. Tchaikovsky

The Institute of Music Studies of P.I. Tchaikovsky offers a comprehensive Tuba programme for prospective students. To be eligible for admission, applicants must meet the following requirements:

• A minimum of Grade 8 in Tuba from a recognized music school or conservatory.
• A minimum of Grade 5 in Music Theory.
• A minimum of Grade 5 in aural skills.
• A minimum of Grade 5 in sight-reading.
• A minimum of Grade 5 in improvisation.
• A minimum of Grade 5 in music history.
• A minimum of Grade 5 in composition.
• A minimum of Grade 5 in performance.

In addition to the above requirements, applicants must also submit a portfolio of their work, including recordings of their performances, compositions, and improvisations.
