Requirements
1)Nationality Requirement: only those who holds citizenship of OECD DAC Recipient Countries can apply.
2)Academic Requirement: Applicants must have completed or be expected to have completed secondary education or bachelor degree program prior to admission to K-Arts.
Applicants who apply for the bachelor’s program must hold high school diploma. Students from a country with fewer than 12 years of preliminary and secondary school education will be considered eligible if they have completed an educational program recognized by the Korean Ministry of Education as being equivalent to high school graduates. Applicants who apply for the master’s program must hold a Bachelor’s degree or a diploma that is equivalent to or higher than a Bachelor’s degree.
Applicants who are expecting to graduate by 28th Feb 2022 must submit a certificate of expectant graduation when applying, and submit the official certificate of graduation(degree or diploma) to K-Arts no later than 28th Feb 2022.
Applicants expecting to graduate by 28th Feb. 2022 needs to prove that they are subject to exemption for Korean Language training, holding TOPIK level 6. Otherwise all final grantees need to join Korean Language training starting from November 2021.
3)Language Requirement : Applicants need to meet the required Korean proficiency level that each department sets. Valid TOPIK score is necessary but when it is not possible to submit the valid test score, its equivalent such as certificate issued by King Sejong Institute or certificates by Korean language institute run by Korean universities issued within 2 years will also be considered. Applicants who passed document screening without valid TOPIK score is subject to take Korean Language Test run by K-Arts, however its result will only be referred as complementary material and won’t substitute TOPIK score.
4)Artistic Talent : K-Arts has very practical and comprehensive major curriculum to raise professional artists. Therefore, applicants must meet the required skills and talents through the submission of portfolios as required by each department/major unless written as “portfolio not required”.
5)Entry to Korea : Final Grantees are scheduled to arrive in Korea and take Korean language training before joining degree program unless he/she already holds TOPIK level 6. All grantees are expected to enter Korea by the end of October 2021 while TOPIK level 6 holders can be exempted to join language training.
