In the bachelor's programme in Dutch Law you learn how Dutch society is organised. You acquire a thorough knowledge of both Dutch and European law and international regulations relevant to the Dutch legal system. These laws make the Netherlands a well-run democracy and enable people who come into conflict with others, the Dutch state or the European Union to have access to capable judges. During the programme you are introduced to the main legal disciplines: private law, administrative law, constitutional law, criminal law, European law, international law, tax law and the history of law. For example, you research: * the historical development of the national and international legal systems * the concept of democracy * the distribution of power. Dutch Law is a three-year programme taught entirely in Dutch.
