The Rutgers School of Public Health honors those who have provided service to the nation by offering a scholarship program for students who have completed a US federal service program, such as AmeriCorps, Peace Corps, United States Public Health Service or a branch of the uniformed services. The partial tuition scholarship is open to anyone who has completed their term of national service through a US federal program, is accepted into a masters or doctoral program at the Rutgers School of Public Health as a matriculated student and enrolls in at least six credits per semester for the first two years.
To be considered for a National Service Scholarship, candidates must submit 1) a completed Rutgers School of Public Health Application; 2) a letter noting they wish to be considered for a National Service Scholarship (submitted at the same time as the School of Public Health Application); and 3) a letter or proof of completion from the agency where your service was performed documenting completion of your national service. (The National Service Scholarship is based upon the availability of funds and is non-renewable.)
