This program provides registered nurses with the knowledge and techniques for an expert role as a complex nurse in graduate certificate level. The class offers two subject elective choices to enable students to tailor their analysis to their area of specialty or their role. There's a wide choice of optional subjects that include, but aren't exclusive to, primary healthcare, acute care, education and research. The course is composed of 2 core issues and students select two electives to meet their employers' needs. The knowledge, skills and expertise gained empower students to improve the quality of care for patients and their loved ones, with evidence to make informed decisions about nursing practice. Graduates are well equipped to work as part of a multi disciplinary team, in a position to appraise and develop their particular practice as well as contribute to the professional development of others. Students develop graduate attributes like leadership, critical thinking, responsibility, communicationand professional qualities suited to their role as well as Indigenous cultural esteem. All these features are all developed with key external stakeholders, industry consultants, medical care spouses, companies and clinicians. Career options include leadership positions in complex functions, e.g. clinical, chronic and complex care (ageing and palliation); primary medical care; instruction; direction; research; clinical nurse practitioner or adviser; nursing direction; complex case direction; nursing instruction; and obsolete care.
- UTS recognised bachelor level, or equivalent or higher qualification, or filed other evidence of general and professional qualifications that shows potential to pursue graduate studies. The English competency requirement of local applicants with international qualifications is: Academic IELTS: 6.5 overall with a writing score of 6.0

- Or CAE: 176-184. Applicants must hold current registration as a nurse in Australia. Registered nurses who do not have an undergraduate diploma or degree but don't have recent relevant work experience and will demonstrate the capacity to undertake tertiary study might also be considered eligible. Applicants must possess one year old post-registration clinical experience.
