This class provides learners with the opportunity to obtain comprehension over the expert domains of teaching English to speakers of other languages (TESOL) and implemented linguistics through an initial TESOL teaching qualification. This course is suitable for postgraduate students who wish to acquire an first TESOL instruction qualification and advanced and integral knowledge of language and literacy instruction, in addition to its own application within their fields of practice. The course includes a practicum placement using a licensed language instruction organisation in Australia or selected overseas institutions.
- UTS recognised bachelor degree, or equivalent or higher qualification, or submitted other evidence of general and professional credentials that demonstrates potential to pursue graduate studies. The English competency requirement of international students or community applicants with international credentials is: Academic IELTS: 6.5 overall with a writing score of 6.0

International students: To acquire a student visa to study in Australia, international students must enrol whole time and on campus. Australian student visa regulations also need international students studying on student visas to complete the course within the conventional fulltime interval. Students may expand their courses only in exceptional circumstances.
