The aim of the programme is to give you profound scientific and technical skills to study the interaction between environment and development, growth and reproduction of important farmed species.

You will gain insight and experience in physiology, endocrinology, histology and molecular methods. You will also gain practical experience when it comes to intensive and extensive farming systems, become acquainted with Norwegian laws and regulations for fish farming and get an overview of international aquaculture. In addition, you will receive training in conducting an independent scientific study.

A first degree (bachelor's degree) of three or four years' duration from an approved institution of higher education, as well as proficiency in the English language. Your bachelor,s degree must include knowledge of and competence in biology/aquaculture biology corresponding to 60 ECTS (1 year)
