OzU aspires to rank among top universities of the world in the field of architecture through its Undergraduate Architecture Program that will welcome its first students in the 2012-2013 academic year.
Designed as a flexible program teaching how to learn, providing problem solving skills and promoting creative thinking, Özyegin University Undergraduate Architecture Program aims to cultivate multi-dimensional and competitive architectures that are able to integrate art with technology, and reflect their intuitions and emotions to their designs; and are well-aware that their designs will be applied in the real world.
Through its strong focus on the intersection of architecture and other disciplines; and its devotion to prepare entrepreneurial architectures, OzU will also make a difference in the field of architecture.

Course Content
The Undergraduate Architecture Program endeavors to promote learning by discovery; inquiry; multidimensional and flexible thinking; problem solving and analysis of architectural and urban issues, while also preparing students for graduate study options. In addition, Özyegin University is devoted to preparing entrepreneurial architects who are well aware of social and individual expectations.
- In their freshman year, students learn the fundamental principles of design, acquire basic architectural skills; and gain a solid foundation in architecture;
- The Sophomore year covers courses on predominantly architectural design from basic topics of architecture including structure, materials, history of architecture to traditional and contemporary project production techniques.
- In their Junior year, students take courses on architectural design studio, physical environment control, urban planning and design, architectural conservation and measured drawing as well as electives that they can choose based on their areas of interests,
- In their Senior year, students will complete their capstone projects and will take required courses on construction economics, project management, occupation law, as well as electives on their areas of interests.

Dr. Murat Sahin will work as an Associate Professor at the Faculty of Architecture. He obtained his B.Sc. from Yildiz University, Department of Architecture in 1987, M.A. in Architectural Design from Yildiz Technical University in 1990, and Ph.D. in Architectural Design from the same university in 1997. Dr. Sahin served as a visiting scholar at Columbia University Graduate School of Architecture in the academic year of 1999-2000. During his stay in New York between the years of 1999 and 2003, he also worked as a design associate in a series of architectural projects. Between 2003 and 2012, Dr. Sahin taught at Yeditepe University, Bahçesehir University, and Yildiz Technical University. Besides teaching, Dr. Sahin has been practicing for over 20 years. His research interests and architectural studies include integrated design, architecture education, regional/ vernacular architecture, architectural representation, urban design, and children and architecture.
Semra TOKAY

Dr. Semra Tokay gradualed from department of Architecture at I. D. M. M. A in 1974. She Got the master degree from Architectural Design Programme with her thesis about Health Buildings. She worked with Prof. H. Özer, Prof. E. Hiziroglu, Prof. A. Askun and Prof. I. Yüce Askun on architectural practices and competitions. She began working as a research assistant at Yildiz Technical University at 1980. In 1987, she got the Phd and assigned to be an assistant proffesor in 1990. She retired from Yildiz Technical University in 1999 and after that she worked at Maltepe University since 2012.
Ilker Fatih Özorhon

Dr.Ilker Fatih Özorhon graduated from Yildiz Technical University, Faculty of Architecture in 2000. He got the master degree from Istanbul Technical University by his thesis on Natural Light with Its Aspect Determining the Architectural Space at Architectural Design Program in 2002. He completed his Ph.D. studies at Istanbul Technical University, Architectural Design Program by his thesis named The Issue of Originality in Architecture: Turkish Modernity in the period of 1950-60 in 2008. He started working as a teaching assistant at Maltepe University in 2001 and he worked as an Assistant Professor between 2009-2012. He served as Head of the Department of Architecture (English) between 2011-2012. He has studies published in several journals, presented in symposiums and congress and has awards in architectural design competitions.
Güliz Özorhon

Dr. Güliz Özorhon, graduated from Yildiz Technical University, Faculty of Architecture in 2000. She obtained the master degree from Mimar Sinan University of Fine Arts by her thesis on The Formation of the Building Envelope According to the Sun Effect and the Selection Criteria of Materials at Building Physics and Materials Program in 2003. She completed her Ph.D. studies at Yildiz Technical University, Architectural Design Program by her thesis named Hosing Architecture of Istanbul in the Period of 1950-60 between 2003-2009. She started working as a teaching assistant at Maltepe University in 2000 and served as an Assistant Professor between 2009-2012. She has studies published in several journals, presented in symposiums and congress and has awards in architectural design competitions.

Foreign students are admitted to the institutions of higher education in Turkey on condition that applicants fulfill the requirements for student admission determined by the relevant institution of higher education and approved by the Council of Higher Education.
The applications from following students will be accepted:
- foreign students who are either high school graduates or are studying their last year in high school,
- students with dual nationality who abandoned their Turkish or TRNC citizenship and who complete their entire high school education abroad
- citizens of TRNC who have completed their entire high school in TRNC and have GCE A/L result
The applications from following students will not be accepted:
- Turkish citizens,
- TRNC citizens (except the students who have completed their entire high school in TRNC and have GCE A/L result),
- Students with dual nationality one of which is Turkish,
- Students with dual nationality one of which is TRNC (except the students who have completed their entire high school in TRNC and have GCE A/L result),
- Students with dual nationality who abandoned their Turkish citizenship and who have completed their entire high school education either in Turkey or TRNC,
- Students with dual nationality who abandoned their TRNC and who have completed their entire high school education either in Turkey or TRNC (except the students who have completed their entire high school in TRNC and have GCE A/L result),
- Students with dual nationality who abandoned either their Turkish or TRNC citizenship and who graduated from the Mission schools in Turkey
- Students expelled from an in institutions of higher education in Turkey due to disciplinary action.

Funding
Self or government funding, sports scholarships. Very limited number of entry scholarships are available for international students
There are scholarships available based on International Baccalaureate, ABITUR, Matura and French Baccalaureate diplomas, completion of AP program and performance in International Science Olympiads. You will also have the opportunity to improve your scholarship status after admission to OzU by demonstrating high academic performance in your classes (academic merit scholarships).
