A challenging contemporary dance focused class where routine performance, interval training and classroom training are essential to the doctrine of the program. The quest for real excellence is paired with the nurturing of originality, laying the foundations for the celebrity, choreographer or independent professional. The class gives an in sight in to dancing as an art form, as well being a social and experiential experience, offering additional skills in communication, critical thinking, research and analysis.Sustainability in regard to professional livelihood paths is emphasised through participation with industry partners and vulnerability to diverse performance surroundings. Industry positioning, short study tours and global exchange opportunities provide a local, national and global view.

University entry requirements apply. All applicants need to submit satisfactory medical reports, and wait for an audition. Information regarding audition requirements and procedures is currently available from WAAPA.
