The Master of Arts (Theology) is just a qualification at Level 9. It empowers students to acquire an advanced body of knowledge related to theology. The Master of Arts (Theology) offers a coursework option and a research thesis option. The coursework option includes a dozen themes. It means students to participate in professional work within this field at a higher management level. In addition, it functions as a foundation for doing additional curricular activity. The research thesis option is made up of four themes studied at Level 9 followed closely by a research thesis of 30,000 words. This means students to participate in other scholarly or professional work within this discipline. The Master of Arts (Theology) from Coursework consists of 12 topics, a total of 36 Credit factors organised to the subsequent specialisation flows: Family and Marriage; Bioethics, Theology and Medical Practice; Religious Education and Catholic School Leadership; Evangelisation of Culture; and Art, Liturgy and Culture.
Students that have completed a Bachelor of Theology degree at Level 7 or Level 8 qualification in theology, religious instruction, bioethics, philosophy or other associated fields may articulate directly into the Master of Arts (Theology). Students that don't have any qualifications in theology is going to have to perform a Graduate Certificate of assessments or an equivalent Level 8 qualification in theology, religious education, bioethics or alternative recognised related field before articulating in the Master of Arts (Theology).
