Description
Desire to fly is one of the most ancient and beautiful dreams of mankind. However, aviation specialists know very well that a flight is not just a beautiful dream, but it involves hard work, patience and responsibility. Great responsibility, quality of work, ability to work together towards common goal is the main features of employees in aviation. In essence, engineers of aircrafts maintenance are working in organizations that use aircrafts, do maintenance and repair work. They can analyze economical aspects, plan further works, and prepare equipment for work in accordance with instructions and safety of work. The programme Aviation Transport offers two different qualifications:
o Aircraft Maintenance Engineer
(Avionics)
o Aircraft Maintenance Engineer
(Mechanical)
Specialists in Avionics can perform tasks that are connected with aircrafts´ electrical, electro-mechanical and electronic equipment. Specialists in mechanics perform tasks in relation to aircrafts´ mechanical equipment.
Professional higher education programme provides the qualification which helps students to acquire and develop specialist knowledge, intellectual and practical skills in
planning, extensive design and scientific work that enable them to analyse and develop robust solutions to engineering problems. The main aim of the bachelor study programme is to provide necessary knowledge in the field of aviation transport with
specialisation in avionics or mechanics and to ensure practical training for acquired knowledge. This will enable graduates to operate effectively in their initial professional role and Faculty of Transport and Mechanical Engineering (Aviation Institute) Bachelor´s Programme in Aviation Transport provide strong basis for future development. Students will be prepared for further studies in the master programme.
