Requirements for Admission

In order to be admitted to the Baroque Bassoon Programme at the Conservatory of Music Lorenzo Perosi, prospective students must meet the following requirements:

• A minimum of two years of prior musical training on a wind instrument.
• A minimum grade of B in music theory.
• A minimum grade of B in music history.
• A minimum grade of B in ear training.
• A minimum grade of B in sight-reading.
• A minimum grade of B in improvisation.
• A minimum grade of B in performance.

In addition to the above requirements, prospective students must also demonstrate a commitment to the study of baroque bassoon performance. This includes a willingness to practice regularly and to attend all classes and rehearsals.
