Welcome to the Baroque Oboe Programme at the Conservatory of Music Lorenzo Perosi

The Conservatory of Music Lorenzo Perosi is proud to offer a comprehensive Baroque Oboe programme for prospective students. Our programme is designed to provide students with the skills and knowledge necessary to become a successful Baroque Oboe player.

Our programme includes courses in Baroque Oboe performance, technique, and repertoire. Students will learn the fundamentals of Baroque Oboe playing, including proper posture, breathing, and articulation. They will also learn about the history and development of the Baroque Oboe, as well as the various styles and techniques used in Baroque Oboe performance.

In addition to the performance courses, our programme also offers courses in Baroque Oboe repair and maintenance. Students will learn how to properly care for their instrument, as well as how to make basic repairs.

Requirements

In order to be accepted into the Baroque Oboe Programme, prospective students must meet the following requirements:

• A minimum of two years of prior musical experience, including at least one year of oboe playing.
• A minimum grade of B in all music classes.
• A minimum grade of C in all other classes.
• A successful audition.
