Biology

Biology deals with the evolution, structure, function and interaction of living organisms at the molecular, cellular, organismal, population and ecosystem level. The Department of Biology flourishes in ecology and evolution, cell and molecular biology and organismal physiology. Students can specialize in any of these areas or take a general program. The small size of upper-level courses encourages substantial student-professor interaction.
