This class offers theoretical and practical training in biological and molecular aspects of biomedical research, including: biotechnology, DNA analysis and manipulation, microbiology and immunology, diagnostics, research fundamentals and advanced biological data analysis. It features training in laboratory-based research, also has the option to include lab research projects, which could possibly be run in a biomedical diagnostic lab, or within a research lab, under the supervision of professional scientists.
Graduates are eligible for membership of the Australian Biotechnology Association and equivalent industry businesses internationally.
