Business Administration — Accounting

Douglas College offers a four-year Bachelor of Business Administration (BBA) with specialties in Accounting and Financial Services & Administration. The degree is designed for individuals with a recognized two-year post secondary diploma who wish to continue with further studies or high school graduates who may wish to pursue a bachelor's degree. The Accounting major prepares individuals for jobs in financial or management accounting, auditing or income tax, leading to professional designations such as CGA, CA and CMA. With a recognized two-year diploma in Accounting Management, most students can complete the degree in two years of full-time study. Students with other business diplomas may have to take пПТbridging coursesпПУ from the first or second year in order to be ready to go into third year, since many of the courses in year one and two are prerequisites for third- and fourth-year courses. Students with non-business diplomas should contact the BBA Accounting Coordinator to discuss their program plans.
