The primary objective of the Bachelor of Business Administration program at the University of New Brunswick in Saint John (UNBSJ) is to provide students with an intellectual and social environment in which they can discover and develop their potential for effective management. The program places a strong emphasis on the development of problem-solving skills and adaptability to help students manage the challenges presented by a rapidly changing world. UNBSJ's Electronic Commerce program examines all aspects of business as they relate to networked and on-line commerce. In this "business-centric" approach, students explore the role electronic commerce can play in all dimensions of business such as marketing, accounting, process redesign, operations, strategy, human resources, and organizational change. Students following the program will acquire a full range of business skills as well as specific expertise in the business models of electronic commerce. Students are not expected to be technical experts, but will leave the program with a level of technical familiarity which will enable them to work in cross-functional or multi-skilled environments for the development and implementation of electronic commerce solutions in a wide range of organizations.
