Participants meet the academic requirements for membership of CPA Australia, and with additional two Components Done outside of Their Graduate Degree in Business, Chartered Accountants Australia and Also New Zealand (CAANZ), and Also the Institute of Public Accountants (IPA); and Also be recognised by the National Association of Chartered Certified Accountants (ACCA) and the Chartered Institute of Management Accountants (CIMA).

A completed recognised bachelor level (or higher) with a minimum grade point average (GPA) score of 4.0 on QUT's 7 point scale. For students entering Professional Accounting major the under graduate level must be in a location aside from Accounting. Financial Planning major alternative entrance: applicants who don't have a bachelor level however have 7 years' of appropriate specialist employment experience may be considered for special entrance up on discipline coordinator approval.
