This system allows students to acquire a broad base in technology and enabling sciences, before choosing to specialize studies in either construction or environment and water. Students develop skills in problem-solving, teamwork and communication, and develop technical, business direction and scientific environmental understanding. In this program, students build expertise in areas including environmental management, preparation and recovery, managed ecosystems and marine sciencefiction. Students also complete work experience more than 60 days, assessing present engineering professional practice with emphasis on the creative character of engineering. At the conclusion of the studies students are going to have the scientific skills required to produce judgements on the conservation and use of Australia's natural ecosystems and tools.
Year 12 or equivalent. Prerequisites: English (Units 3 and 4( C), Maths Methods (Units 3 and 4, C). Year 1-2 Specialist Maths, and Physics or Chemistry are recommended.
