Audiology is the clinical science between the prevention, assessment and treatment of hearing loss and associated communication disorders. The Clinical Audiology route starts in January, with a new intake of students in even-numbered years only. It's a extensive full time class with tuition divided between intensive theoretical and practical modules and clinical trials. The intensive modules need full time attendance, equivalent to 40 hours each week, over their whole duration which is usually seven days. Clinical trials are handled by the Clinical Coordinator.
Accredited by the Audiological Australia and graduates are eligible for membership.
- An Associate's degree, or equivalent qualification, as recognised by U WA
- Along with the equivalent of a U WA weighted average mark of at least 65 per cent
- And also a decent personal announcement, as recognised by U WA
- And also a existing National Police Certificate, or equivalent certification, indicating no criminal conviction. Currency of a National Police Certificate is currently 12 months.
