The physician of Clinical Surgery combines surgical training and studies together with research, preparing the students for a career as a medical practitioner. The class work includes all elements of surgical practice, particularly communication, behavioural, ethical, sociological, health economical and medicolegal aspects of surgical practice as well as surgical, psychomotor and cognitive aspects. The clinical coursework elements are be performed in one of the next areas of surgery chosen by the pupil: Cardiothoracic; General; Upper GI; Colorectal; Surgical Oncology; Breast; Endocrine; Neuro-surgery; Otolaryngology; Head and Neck; Orthopaedic; Paediatric; Plastic and Reconstructive; Urology or Vascular.
