Students of the Bachelor of Commerce (Financial Planning) develop a solid understanding of critical theories and topics in commerce whilst studying the specifics of the financial planning industry. The program is delivered with a practical attention and students find out how to tackle a range of realworld tasks, for example establishing risk management plans, preparing best practice Statements of Advice, and helping individuals plan for retirement by developing essential plans for wealth creation and protection. Students will: Engage in Work Integrated Learning (WIL) opportunities; use discipline-specific technologies to analyse complex issues in many different contexts; communicate a clear, coherent and individual exposition of knowledge and ideas to many different stakeholders, addressing a wide assortment of business/commerce issues; and produce the capacity to exercise initiative and professional judgement in an ethically and socially responsible manner.
Entry for this program relies on an entry position. A position can be accomplished by a year 1 2 ATAR, other Australian qualification, work experience, or an overseas qualification.
