Communication is not only at the core of every industry, but at the core of human life. As modern technology continues to evolve, more and more companies seek communication professionals that can help them achieve their goals and foster positive relationships with their publics. A bachelor’s degree in Communications is not only valuable in the working world, but can also serve as a foundation for those that are looking to expand their studies in the future, and can be complemented by Master’s degrees in many diverse fields. The Communication and Media degree at UNYP aims to meet the urgent need for communication professionals who understand the central role of communication in today’s world, and can make it work for the betterment of society.

The first two years of the study program are intended to give you a comprehensive overview of the fascinating and ubiquitous areas of communication and media. From intrapersonal to mass, you will become familiar with the true character of communication and media, and see how it is at the very heart of everything we do.

In your third year, you will have the opportunity to choose and study a number of courses in three main areas that emphasize the development of practical skills: media writing, public relations and advertising. These areas serve to combine the theoretical with the applied, and provide students with solid professional grounding in professional theory and practice, thereby preparing them for the workplace.

You can tailor your own academic experience to fit your professional needs, and can choose from an array of different electives from Social Media Marketing to Sociolinguistics - the choice is yours. You can even earn a certificate in distinct areas such as Marketing, Psychology, International Politics, etc. to get more out of your education and expand your knowledge.
