Students of the Bachelor of Communication and Media (Sports Media) explore the media's role in the reporting of game and its influence on Australian society and the wider global context. Students find out how to analyze, produce and present sport stories in text, visual and audio formats such as mobile, online, social, broadcast and print press. Students will: record 'live' sporting events which often calms the country and the world, meeting elite athletes and coaches, and sponsor their very own podcast and television board series; evaluate that the general interest and ethnic value of sports fiction; produce enlightening and engaging reporting which demonstrates an comprehension of the Australian and worldwide athletic landscape; instinctively adapt sports journalism theories and skills to diverse media and corporate surroundings; and seriously apply knowledge and judgement from the creation of multimedia sports content within fast-paced surroundings.

Admission to the course is based on an entry position. A position can be achieved by a year 1 2 ATAR, other Australian eligibility, work experience, or an overseas qualification.
