Texas A&M's Department of Communication serves the State of Texas by annually educating over 1,000 B.A., M.A., and Ph.D students. The department offers majors and minors in Health Communication, Organizational Communication, Rhetoric and Public Affairs, and Telecommunication and Media Studies. Our graduates learn the writing and oral communication skills that employers desire as well as learn the critical thinking skills necessary to be active citizens and successful leaders.

In a 2004 national reputation study conducted by the National Communication Association, Texas A&M's Department of Communication ranked 1st for our scholarship in Organizational Communication, 7th in Health Communication, 8th in Communication and Technology, 11th in Rhetorical Communication, and 12th in Political Communication out of over 750 Communication programs in the United States.
