Community Services

This qualification reflects that the roles of community agencies, case management and social home workers involved with the managing, coordinating and/or delivering of person-centred services to individuals, communities and groups. At that level, workers have specialised skills in community services and work autonomously under broad directions from senior management. Workers are often supplying direct support to individuals or groups of people. Workers may also have responsibility for the supervision of other workers and volunteers and/or case management; program ethics or the development of new small business opportunities.Note that the Statutory & forensic child, youth & family welfare specialisationmust be done orderto meet the minimum education requirements for child protection and youth justice clinic in Victoria. Moreover, to meet minimum education requirements for entry into child protection training in Victoria, diploma credentials needs to be approved by the Australian Community Workers Association (ACWA)To attain this qualification, the candidate should have completed at least 100 hours of are detailed in the Assessment Prerequisites of units of competency.No licensing, legislative, regulatory or certification requirements affect the eligibility at time of book.
