* Corporate Finance

In-depth examination of asset, liability and capital structure management, with emphasis on valuation capital budgeting techniques; risk evaluation; working capital management; and methods of short-term, intermediate and long-term financing. Prerequisite: ACG 6026.

* Business Analysis for Decision Making

Review of the relevant quantitative techniques required for business analysis and decision making, including decision models, mathematical programming, statistics and forecasting. This is an Excel based course. Prerequisites: College Algebra, computer literacy and working knowledge of Excel.

This course covers analysis, design, and operations of organizational systems. The systems approach is used to provide a framework or general model of analysis, to which specific concepts, quantitative techniques, and tools can be related. * Marketing Management in the Global Environment

Analysis and application of theory and problem solving for marketing management in the global environment. Emphasis will be on the role of marketing in the organization; planning the marketing effort; management of the marketing organization; control of marketing operations; and evaluation of the marketing contribution.

* Financial Reporting and Analysis

Comprehensive treatment of analysis of financial statements as aid for decision making; looks at current state of financial reporting practices and impact of published statements on economic systems. Prerequisites: ACG 6026 and FIN 6406.

Most importantly, you'll gain presentation skills by making actual presentations.

* Professional Development Seminar II

The mission of Career Management Services is to partner with, and provide extensive services to you as a graduate business student so that you can become an active participant in your own continuing development, evaluation, and implementation of your personal career plans.

* Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university * Grade point average of 3.0 or better based on upper-division coursework. Applicants with a GPA below 3.0, strong work experience, and other credentials will be considered. GPAs below a 2.75 cannot be considered regardless of work experience. * Four years of professional work experience - Professional experience is determined on a case-by-case basis using a resume, and any requested supporting documents. Our admissions committee evaluates an individual's accomplishments, roles, and responsibilities to determine the total number of years of professional experience. FIU considers the individual's managerial responsibilities, role in setting direction & strategy, and his/her role in allocating resources. Normally, professional experience begins at the point of graduation; however, FIU may consider prior work experience based on type of experience. * Official transcripts from all previously-attended universities (undergraduate and graduate) in an envelope sealed by the degree-granting institution(s). * For Florida residents only, proof of 12 months of residency in Florida by providing two of the following documents by email, mail or fax: * Driver's License * Vehicle Registration * Florida ID * Voter's Registration (U.S Citizens) * Full Tax Return with a copy of W-2's * W-2s with letter from employer stating current employment * Professional License issued by the State of Florida * Official proof of degree. We recommend that you begin thinking about your financial aid needs and options during the initial admissions process to the Chapman Graduate School of Business. Please contact our Chapman Graduate School Financial Aid Coordinator for more information.

Financial assistance may be available to you in the form of student loans. Students should allow up to 4-6 weeks for the financial aid process to be completed. You must pay for your course by the tuition deadline if you do not have anticipated aid by the payment deadline. Please plan accordingly.

To begin the financial aid process, you should:

* Go to the Federal Student Aid PIN site and apply for a PIN if you do not have one. You can also visit that link if you need your PIN sent to you again.
* Go to the Federal Student Aid FAFSA site. Choose "Fill Out Your FAFSA" in column 2 on the web page. The FIU school code is 009635.
* Complete the FAFSA and sign it electronically with your PIN.
* First time FIU borrowers Complete an Entrance Counseling for your particular loan type (such as unsubsidized and Grad PLUS) at studentloans.gov.
* If you are a first-time Federal Direct Loan borrower, using your Federal FAFSA PIN, complete and submit the electronic Master Promissory Note for your particular loan type (such as unsubsidized and Grad PLUS) at studentloans.gov.
