The Master of Counselling, a Psychotherapy and Counselling Federation of Australia (PACFA) accredited program, aims to develop essential clinical competencies, cultivate reflective awareness and give a sound theoretical base for a career as a professional counsellor. The level which integrates contemporary counselling theory, practice and research, contextualised within a Christian world view and also a mental health mindset, develops counsellors who understand the cultural, cultural, relational, emotional, social and spiritual domains of human experience and functioning; who are professionally and ethically informed; who will likely be sensitive to the uniqueness and diversity of families, individuals, and communities; and who will appreciate and promote the dignity, capacity and well-being of all people. Moreover, their education emphasises reflective practice - thoughtful, discerning and compassionate engagement with contemporary mental health difficulties, resulting in graduates capable of work across a range of populations within the secular and also non-secular settings (e.g. counseling agencies, lending organisations, community centres, schools/educational associations, etc.) including private training. The course is intended for those wishing to teach to become professional counsellor, entrusted with the industry-recognised along with industry-accredited Masters of Counselling.

The Masters of Counselling is a PACFA accredited course [Psychotherapy and Counselling Federation of Australia - PACFA].
