Produced in collaboration with our industry partners, our Master of cyber-security (Computer Science) is geared to keep pace with the information security demands of business, government, defence and police force. Combatting cyber crime requires innovation from skilled professionals. You'll develop complex skills in cryptography, network security and digital forensics. You'll learn not just to answer a hazard, but to think like a hacker to control and avoid disasters. You'll do a group of foundation subjects to come up with industry-relevant multidisciplinary abilities before embarking in Computer Science. These subjects can cover fundamentals of cyber security, central knowledge in communication systems, crisis communication, both the mindset and motives of hackers, auditing and risk mitigation, in addition to legal and ethical frameworks. This amount offers a pathway to get existing information technology professionals trying to start or advance their own livelihood in the cyber security domainname. It's also related to those seeking to enter the IT profession that have no previous experience in cyber security.

The Master of Cyber Security (Computer Science) on the City campus has provisional accreditation from the Australian Computer Society (ACS). Membership may require an application to the expert human body and may have additional or ongoing requirements beyond the completion of the degree. The minimum entrance requirement is successful completion of an Australian Bachelor degree (or its equivalent). In producing an offer to an applicant, the University will give consideration to a range of factors to determine whether an applicant has demonstrated the capability to work at a Masters degree, including academic record, English competence, and/or employment experience. NB: Fulfilling minimum entrance requirements does not guarantee that an offer of a place.
